Brown on National Security

Putting the safety of American families first, securing the borders, including national security reviews in trade deals -Sounds good.

...For Democrats, this comes down to a simple principle: Our families' safety cannot be compromised in the name of commerce...The nation learned of the Dubai deal by chance. We cannot leave our national security to chance.

...it is essential that the United States implement a national security review of all U.S. trade deals to better secure our borders while promoting fair trade. The U.S. is about to negotiate a trade agreement with Malaysia, and is expected to return to trade negotiations with the U.A.E.

Neither of these agreements includes national security reviews.
